Between a Rock and a Hard Place

I love my job... yes there's a but here.. but when I am asked to leave my classroom and my kiddos, I have a HUGE issue with this. This week I "volunteered" between my co-worker and I to work another site because the teacher was sick. My co-lead had a fill in teacher in my place, but obviously our classroom was chaos. As if it wasn't worse, the next day my co-lead went, basically so I didn't have to go again. I experienced the chaos yesterday and it was the most exhausting, frustrating day.

My rock and hard place comes in because I don't work for the district. I work for a non profit who runs a district program, yet I have a district special ed teacher in the classroom. That teacher was livid that we were taken from our classroom and had to fill in else where. I know that teacher contacted the admin for our program and my boss is not happy about the whole situation either.

To make matters worse, today in our sensory table was tree nuts....this is terrible because we have two kiddos allergic to them and they PLAYED in the table today. The worst feeling in the world is to tell a parent that their child came into contact with something they're allergic to in your classroom and it is a nut free room.

I am so ready to put in my 5 hours tomorrow of prep and end the work week. I am ready for a relaxing weekend at home with my dog and parents!
